TIM EGAN
City of Winter Park, Environmental Resource Manager, Lakes and Waterways

As part of his city responsibilities, when not wrangling ducks for the derby, he manages the city's environmental resoures including lakes and waterways. He manages the stormwater projects in Mead Garden. 

 

 

 

JOHN HOLLAND
City of Winter Park, Director of Parks and Recreation
 
John is the Director of all operations within the City’s Parks and Recreation Department. His background in Landscape Architecture and Park Administration provides a special interest in the history and future plans of Mead Garden. John has supported and worked closely with the FMG Board since its inception in 2003. 

 

 

 

 

DRU DENNISON
City of Winter Park, Chief of Forestry

Dru heads the Forestry Division which is responsible for maintaining the city’s tree canopy.

NANCY PRINE
Landscape Architect, LPLA

An original FMG Board Member, Nancy has worked continuously with the eco-restoration and landscaping committees.

Florida Virtual School

Sarah is a longtime educator and advocate for children. She is committed to her Winter Park community and believes everyone must own the children of tomorrow. Sarah wants all children to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of Mead Garden.

 

 

 

ED THRALLS, FNGLA, ASHA
University of Florida Cooperative Extension Service
Coordinator of Orange County Residential Horticulture and Master Gardener Programs.

Ed is in charge of education related to urban horticulture, including landscaping, home crop production, lawn management, ornamental landscape plants, indoor foliage and flowers, and plant problem diagnosis.

 

 

 

CHUCK TRICE
City of Winter Park, Assistant Director, Landscaping and Horticulture Department

Chuck was at the table when the idea for Friends of Mead Garden first came to light. 

 

 

 

BOB KOVACEVICH
Principal, Avatar Company

Bob is an international nonprofit organization consultant in the areas of audience research, strategic planning and fund development. In Florida, he has worked with the following gardens: Marie Selby; Fairchild Tropical; Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens; Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens; Naples, Mead, and Morikami Museum and Gardens.
