PBS Film Premiere - Selling Sunshine

"Selling Sunshine: The Florida Trains," Friday, October 13, 6:30 p.m. at the Garden Center, Mead Botanical Garden.  Free, refreshments served.

Join us for the premier of this one-hour PBS documentary on the history of Florida railroads.  The film is by Winter Park resident Peter Hansen and his wife Bonnie, a Mead Garden horticulture volunteer.  They will be on hand to answer greet viewers and answer questions.

“Selling Sunshine” traces the history of Florida rail service from the late 19th century forward to the 21st century and includes fascinating interviews. Actor Michael Gross (Family Ties) and rail historian Peter Hansen bring this exciting story to the screen.  Mead Botanical Garden served as a backdrop for several interviews.
