UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
This group of volunteers meets many mornings at the butterfly garden to maintain and create a haven for our ever growing population of winged beauties. Don't forget your gardening gloves and tools! For specific times and information, contact Ann Clement.
Weed Warriors (Legacy Garden)
Help us create and plant new flower beds, propagate plants, and eradicate weeds in our garden showcase! Bring gloves and your favorite gardening tools. Legacy Garden volunteers meet most Tuesday and Friday mornings at the Greenhouse in the Legacy Garden.
Florida Native Plant Society, Tarflower Chapter, Quarterly Workdays
Volunteers from the Tarflower Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society come out one day each quarter (usually a Saturday or Sunday morning) to help maintain and enhance the Discovery Barn Native Garden, Sandhill Demonstration planting, Gopher Tortoise Habitat Enhancement planting, Monarch Waystation planting, and various other natural or rehabilitation areas throughout the Garden. Contact Stacey Matrazzo, MBG Director of Education and Conservation, or Catherine Bowman, Tarflower Chapter VP of Programs, for more information. Be sure to check our Calendar of Upcoming Events for the next Tarflower workday.
Volunteers gather at Mead Garden Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 am to noon.
