We are a small 501(c)3 non-profit with a staff of 3, so we heavily rely on the help of community volunteers like you to keep this 47 acre free garden public garden looking beautiful! We welcome your assistance to help keep our garden maintained and can’t wait for you to join our volunteer team.

We are now accepting volunteer applications!

When: select Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 AM

What to bring?

• your own set of garden gloves (if you have them)
• water
• any small garden tools you may like to use (optional)
• wear some comfortable clothes you don’t mind working and getting a little dirty in
• License or Photo ID

Volunteers will meet at the picnic pavilion, just on your right past the main entrance. You may park in the gravel parking area.

We plan to get started at 10:00 a.m. We will start with a garden overview, volunteer forms, followed by a tour of the grounds and then with whatever time is leftover you can get started gardening!

Mead Botanical Garden Volunteer forms are attached in the email you received. If at all possible, please fill these out all paperwork in advance. We will have paper copies in person as well.

We currently do not have any weekend volunteering scheduled, but we are working on offering weekend opportunities soon!
